Clips from the deposition of MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell, tied to a defamation lawsuit filed against him by Dominion Voting Systems, have been released by Dominion’s legal team. One of these clips has gone viral, showing Lindell reacting strongly to a comment made by a Dominion lawyer about “lumpy pillows.”
These clips, recorded in March, became public after Dr. Eric Coomer, Dominion’s Director of Product Strategy and Security, sought to compel deposition testimony in court. Dr. Coomer himself had also filed a defamation lawsuit against Newsmax for questioning the integrity of Dominion voting machines following the 2020 election.
During the deposition, when discussing customer service calls related to Lindell’s company, one of Dominion’s lawyers remarked, “Okay, and I’m not asking about the lumpy pillow calls,” which visibly frustrated Lindell. He retorted, “No, they’re not lumpy pillows, that’s not what they call on. When you say lumpy pillows, now you’re an asshole. You got that? You’re an asshole is what you are!”

Later in the deposition, Lindell told Coomer’s lawyer, “No, he’s an asshole! He’s an ambulance-chasing lawyer, so don’t start with me. I got all day. I’ll take as much time as you want, so let’s go. You’re not my boss, you’re just a lawyer, frivolous lawyer.”
According to the Dominion lawyer’s filing, Lindell’s behavior during his last deposition, which took place on August 23, 2023, in Minneapolis, included leaving the witness chair during an unscheduled break while making disparaging comments. The filing described Lindell as “vulgar, threatening, loud, [and] disrespectful.”
Through this legal motion, Dr. Coomer is seeking an order to compel Mr. Lindell to appear before the Court or the Magistrate Judge in Denver, Colorado, in order to maintain decorum and request contemporaneous rulings during a rescheduled deposition. Dr. Coomer is also seeking attorney fees and expenses related to Mr. Lindell’s alleged abuse of the discovery process.
