On Thursday, Cara Castronuovo of The Gateway Pundit reported that Enrique Tarrio, the leader of the Proud Boys, claimed that Biden administration officials requested him to make false statements about President Trump with the intent of indicting him.
In an exclusive statement to The Gateway Pundit, Tarrio revealed, “They asked me to LIE about President Trump in order to indict him. I told them to pound sand, and because I refused to lie about President Trump, it cost me twenty-two years of my life.”
Tarrio expressed his frustration, saying, “The truth is, I could have been home a long time ago. I could be in my warm bed right now, laughing at the world without a problem… all I had to do was LIE ABOUT TRUMP. All I had to do was confirm a lie.”
Tarrio decided to share these details with The Gateway Pundit after receiving a lengthy prison sentence from Judge Kelly on Tuesday. He explained that Department of Justice prosecutors had tried to pressure him into signing a false statement that would implicate President Trump by asserting that “through several degrees of separation and connections, Tarrio had communicated with Trump regarding ‘plans’ for January 6th.”

On Friday night, The Gateway Pundit hosted a Twitter space with Enrique Tarrio as the special guest. TGP reporters Cara Castronuova and Alicia Powe organized the event.
During the Twitter Space discussion, Tarrio reiterated his allegations against the Biden administration. He also disclosed the names of two DOJ officials who were present during the meeting where he felt pressured by federal agents to lie about President Trump:
- DOJ Lead Prosecutor Jocelyn Ballantine
- Assistant US Attorney Jason McCullough
Jocelyn Ballantine was previously involved in General Michael Flynn’s prosecution, a case that faced controversy due to evidence tampering by the DOJ. Despite this, Ballantine continued to hold a high-ranking position in Merrick Garland’s DOJ.
Attorney Jason McCullough recently advocated for the conviction of the Proud Boys on charges of seditious conspiracy.
It’s worth noting that NOVA Campaign identified the name of the FBI helicopter pilot who was also present in the room during this meeting.
